Into the boundless caustic night
Where shadows mask a cruel truth
Beyond the reach of simple youth
Out where the coldest fears take flight
And young men strive to choose the right
And questions yield to acts uncouth
Past sentries meant to hail forsooth
I choose my place and time to fight

Into the day I kept him warm
No more condemned to walk alone
My love would be the light that shone
From out the moment we were one
We shared the comfort of our dorm
And knew the darkest thoughts had flown

My first sonnet.

Left my calling card on a street of bricks
Burned a hundred foot trail with her pumped up slicks
Yeah my baby’s always runnin’ at a fever pitch
So let’s go, gettin’ ready now to drive this bitch

When I turn her over, all the neighbors faint
Gonna burn so much rubber while we peal the paint

Poison Sugar

There’s a poison in the sugar cube
And I can’t say where it’s gone
Would be the ending of this rube
To taste them all to know which one

Six million on loan
Not from Tony Stark
For a pound of flesh
I kissed a devil in the dark

Drinking freedom with my tears
Always unafraid of fears
Feed me pills and pain for breakfast
Sure I’m undisturbed by jeers

I’m part man and part machine
Something new with all that’s been
Just an…

The Troops in harms way all over the world have to buy their own supplies but sometimes they go for months without the opportunity to purchase the basic necessities. The guys in Afghanistan on the “Tip of the Spear” only get limited access to a truck that sometimes doesn’t come over unless it’s safe. After the first couple of FOB the trucks are empty and that’s where we come in and send them carepacs.

Blessed Trinity Catholic Church’s CCW will be sending carepacs to Our Troops deployed, STILL AT WAR, in Afghanistan. We do this twice a year.

The number one item requested by the troops is Wipes (baby wipes or equivalent) Cheap is ok, Wal-Mart has the “parents choice” are the cheapest I’ve found. Guys on the “Tip of the Spear” get to shower once a week, and by shower I mean a bucket of water. Wipes are a life saver for in between “showers”.

Other things they need and ask for are:

Hand and feet warmers. It’s COLD NOW in Afghanistan, at night in the winter it goes down in the 20’s! This is also the rainy season. So they’re cold and wet.

disposable razors

If you’re so inclined as to actually support Our Troops, you too can do this. Contact your church or local VFW, and orginize a collection and go to AnySoldier.com read the posts and pick someone <3

Please, pass around for the list of what to send in carepacs, and that maybe someone’s church may do the same <3
